The Wood Products Council has recently completed significant market research on the use of wood products in new construction and repair and remodeling. Reports are now available free of charge to all lumber manufacturers in the U.S. and Canada.

About the Wood Products Council:

After more than 35 years of operation as an ad-hoc vehicle through which to develop and coordinate generic, non-product specific market, education and promotion programs in North America, the Wood Products Council (WPC) officially incorporated as a US nonprofit organization in December 2006. Although all North American wood-based industry associations are welcome (and most do participate on an issue-by-issue basis), the principle member associations/organizations are:

  • American Forest and Paper Association / American Wood Council
  • APA – The Engineered Wood Association
  • Canadian Wood Council
  • Natural Resources Canada
  • Southern Forest Products Association
  • Southeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association
  • Western Wood Products Association
  • US Forest Products Laboratory
  • FP Innovations – Forintek Division

The official mandate of the WPC is:

To help protect and grow the market for wood products in North America by serving as a vehicle through which the wood industry associations can develop and coordinate programs in the areas of market access, research, education, promotion, and technical support.
