Travel to San Antonio

Rich in history, culture and the flavor of the Texas Hill Country, San Antonio offers APA meeting attendees numerous options for activities. At the Hyatt Regency Hill Country, award-winning golf courses, the ramblin’ river water course around the pool and the Windflower Spa will keep you busy in between meetings. Dining options include the Antlers Lodge, featuring authentic Hill Country cuisine; the Springhouse Café; snacks at the General Store; and the Cactus Oak Tavern, the 19th hole at the golf clubhouse. When it’s time to relax, find a rocking chair on Aunt Mary’s Porch, or belly up to the 56-foot carved wood and copper-topped bar.

APA has reserved a block of rooms at a rate of $199. Go to the Hyatt Regency Hill Country web site for online reservations or call the Hyatt Reservation Desk at 210 647-1234, or 800 233-1234. To receive APA's group rate, provide the group/corporate number, G-APAE.

Update: Please note that the Hyatt is full on Friday, Oct. 27. APA has reserved rooms at the nearby Radisson Hill Country Resort & Spa, for a rate of $169. The Radisson is a short distance from the Hyatt, and APA will provide shuttle service on Saturday, Oct. 28. Rooms are available at the Hyatt on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. To make reservations at the Radisson, call the hotel at 210-509-0900, or toll-free at 800-333-3333 and ask for the APA-The Engineered Wood Association rate.

What to Pack
Business casual and resort attire is recommended for all events. Temperatures in San Antonio are typically mild in late October.

Getting to San Antonio and the Hyatt Hill Country
The San Antonio International Airport is served by several airlines. From the airport, taxis are available (average taxi fare to the hotel is $35 to $40).

Special Note: The San Antonio airport is undergoing a major expansion. Allow extra time for checking in and clearing security for any departing flights.
