Register for Free Access to Publications in PDF Format
APA requires users to register for access to our publications in PDF format. Once you have completed the quick, one-time registration, you can access APA publications at any time by entering your username (e-mail address) and password. There is no charge for PDF downloads or registration.
The registration process allows us to provide more relevant, up-to-date information in our publications by looking at the professions who download the PDFs the most. Additionally, we now offer an optional monthly Publication Update e-newsletter that alerts you when we have updated popular APA publications or added new ones to our library of resources. If you are interested in receiving this e-newsletter, be sure you check the appropriate box on the registration form.
Obtaining Copies of APA Publications

Free copies of APA publications are available wherever you see the PDF icon. Simply click the icon and register or login to download the publication. To view the PDFs, you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.1 or higher, available as a free download from Adobe. If you are using a dial-up connection, please be patient, as it will take longer to download the publications. If you have a version of Acrobat Reader lower than 8.1, please download the latest version to properly view files.

Languages Other Than English
A selected number of APA publications are available in Chinese, French, Japanese and Spanish. Please contact the International Department stating the language and topics you are interested in for a complete list of available publications in that language.
