APA Residential Green Design Seminar in Houston, March 24

APA presents Residential Green Design: A Houston Model Seminar and Open House Tour on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in Houston, Texas.

APA's Houston seminar series welcomes LaVerne Williams, AIA, a pioneer in green building concepts. He is joined by APA experts to showcase the latest Houston green home, both in the classroom and in the field. The design criteria, enabling a typical 3,400 square foot home to be conditioned for $145.00/month on average, includes many innovative ideas such as breeze redirection, natural lighting, solar energy and a closed conditioned crawl space, even though the home is located in a flood plain. A house tour will follow the program at a completed home where the details can be reviewed in real life. Attendees will be eligible to receive 2 AIA Learning Units, 2 AIBD Continuing Education Units, 0.2 Continuing Education Units or 2 Professional Development Hours.
