APA membership is open to manufacturers of engineered wood products that meet established requirements for certification, quality, and structural performance.
Product Eligibility – Facilities must manufacture engineered wood products primarily intended for structural applications following North American product standards (e.g., structural panels, structural composite lumber, glulam, CLT, wood I-joists)
Standards Compliance – Ability to meet APA performance requirements and applicable North American product standards
Manufacturing Presence – Principal place of business in North America with qualifying production within APA’s scope of certification operations
Quality Commitment – Demonstrated focus on consistent manufacturing and product performance
Facility Readiness – Operational mill capable of supporting APA inspection, testing, and certification processes

Dues & Fees – Based on product type and production volume
Certification Requirements – Must meet APA standards, inspection protocols, and QA policies
Trademark Licensing – Execution of a standard APA licensing agreement is required
