APA Names New Vice President of Economic Analysis and Market Research 

APA – The Engineered Wood Association announces the hire of Jennifer Coskren as vice president of economic analysis and market research

Jennifer CoskrenCoskren holds a Master of Science in business economics from Bentley University and a Bachelor of Arts in economics, magna cum laude, from Regis College. She brings more than 20 years of experience in economic analysis and housing and wood products markets. Most recently, Coskren served as director of North American wood and timber at Fastmarkets.

During her tenure at Fastmarkets, Coskren led a team of economists delivering data-driven forecasts, market insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and global clients. Specializing in housing and econometric forecasting, she brings deep expertise in timber, wood products and housing markets across the United States and Canada.

Recognized in the industry as a respected thought leader, Coskren regularly publishes industry outlooks and advises stakeholders on macroeconomic, policy and market trends. Earlier in her career, she spent several years at Dodge Data & Analytics, where she developed construction models and co-created the Dodge Momentum Index, a widely used leading indicator of construction spending.

Succeeding Joe Elling, who retired from APA in December, Coskren will start her new position at APA on January 12. In her role, she will lead the association’s research and analysis efforts, overseeing development of economic outlooks, industry reporting and market expertise for APA-member products.

These APA reports are relied upon within the industry for valuable data and insight on structural panel and engineered wood product demand and production, including new and existing home sales, home inventories, mortgage rates, housing starts and forecasts, nonresidential construction, consumer data and more.
