APA – The Engineered Wood Association today announced the appointment of Tony Hamill, Chief Operating Officer of LP, and Chris Evans, President of Timberlab, to its Board of Trustees. Hamill succeeds Gabriel Farias, Senior Vice President and General Manager at LP, who served on APA's board over the last year. APA thanks Farias for his contributions and support of the association's technical initiatives and industry work.

"Tony and Chris each bring a rare combination of engineering expertise and real-world manufacturing leadership to our board," said APA President Mark Tibbetts. "Their perspectives will strengthen APA's work as a technical partner to our members and the broader building community."

Hamill, a registered professional engineer who joined LP in 2013, oversees the company's North American manufacturing footprint of 18 facilities and more than 3,000 employees. Hamill has led major capacity expansion initiatives, including four strategic mill conversions and the growth of LP's ExpertFinish® operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and previously held leadership roles at Stantec and Roseburg Forest Products.

Evans has led Timberlab's growth since launching the company's specialized mass timber division within Swinerton in 2017. Under his leadership, Timberlab now operates five facilities and delivers more than 80 complex, mass timber projects, including the mass timber terminal expansion at Portland International Airport. Evans holds a Master of Science in International Construction Management from the University of Florida.
