Non-Load-Bearing Partitions on APA Structural Panels and Floor Joists
Technical Note
The high strength and stiffness of APA wood structural panels eliminates the need to add blocking between joists under typical non-load-bearing partitions in subfloor and combination subfloor-underlayment applications. Partitions may be parallel or perpendicular to joists and positioned anywhere on the structural panel floor.
This publication is designed for: architects, builders, designers, engineers
This technical note includes a discussion on partition walls running parallel to floor joists. It also includes a table with maximum allowable partition loads for APA wood structural panel floors.
