This publication discusses regulations in the state of California related to wood structural panels, particularly plywood and oriented strand board (OSB). This publication discusses changes to all projects regulated by California Division of the State Architect (DSA).

DSA issued a revised Interpretation of Regulations, IR 23-6, August 25, 2009, which permits OSB to be used at the same shear capacities for diaphragms and shear walls as plywood.
