This NIST voluntary product standard establishes a requirement for the principal types and grades of structural plywood. It covers the wood species, veneer grading, adhesive bonds, panel construction and workmanship, dimensions and tolerances, and moisture content of structural plywood intended for construction and industrial uses.
Structural plywood includes both Exposure 1 and Exterior plywood. Each classification is a function of veneer grade and adhesive performance.
