Temporary Construction Loads Over I-Joist Roofs and Floors

Technical Note

During construction of light-frame structures, it is common to see relatively heavy loads placed over partially constructed floors and roofs. This is typically done to stage materials as part of the construction process. Proper placement of heavy loads is critical to prevent damage to the structure and/or injury to the work crew.

This publication is designed for: builders, contractors
